The friend who will give you the honest truth, no matter what. Your rock who is reliable, dependable and here to make your life as stress-free as possible.

Kelley Cannon Owner, Planner, Event Designer

kelley_webBackground: I started off with a career in Leasing and Shopping Center Management. I took my management experience and a love for all things social and started Kelley Cannon Events in 2009.

Hometown: Winter Springs, FL. Graduate of the University of Central Florida (Go Knights!) followed by a few fabulous years in Charleston, SC and I now reside in Arlington, VA with my husband, Jon and daughter, Isla.

Loves: My amazingly supportive friends and family, all things Southern- especially the food, peonies, my furry babies-Andi & Mooschie, bowties, gummy bears, being on the water, football and classic 80′s movies, and anything Jane Austen.

Favorite Part about Event Planning: Building relationships with my clients throughout the process and getting to be a part of their day when the event date nears. No matter type of event and no matter the size or the budget, I feel
incredibly rewarded seeing the final product come together and having a happy client!

 

Lindsey Farrell Event Designer

Lindsey_webBackground: After college, my career began in New York City. I spent my first few years working in Experiential Marketing, producing large-scale events for clients such as Oprah and O Magazine. I relocated to D.C. in 2009 and continued to utilize my background by creating events of all shapes and sizes in the luxury culinary industry.  Along the way I began to realize weddings and personal events were my true calling.  Lucky for me a mutual friend introduced me to Kelley Cannon, and the rest is history!

Hometown: Parkersburg, West Virginia. My hometown holds my childhood, but my collegiate years were spent in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.  Following my Tarheel days, I embarked on a fantastic five year adventure in New York City where I met my husband, Jay; we now reside in Northwest Washington, D.C.

Loves:  My husband, he is my greatest blessing; also my wonderful friends and family. I love all things edible (I am a die-hard foodie), making homemade jam, French everything, autumn and college football, snow skiing, scuba diving and anything involving clear blue water.  Oh, and Go Heels!!

Favorite Part of Event Planning: I feel incredibly lucky to be practicing my passion as a career, so it’s tough to pick a favorite part.  I love all of the amazing people and moments this job sends my way, but the moment a vision really comes together and the look of pure happiness appears on the faces of the bride and groom… that’s what makes it all worthwhile!

 

Kristen Puzzo Day-of Coordination Specialist

kristen_webBackground: After graduating law school, I began a career in customer service, training and sales support, which brought me to Washington, DC. My role as Day-Of Coordinator with Kelley Cannon Events allows me to utilize my favorite aspects of my former career, building client relationships and providing top notch customer service.

Hometown:  I grew up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and spent much of my life in the sunshine state.  Five years ago, I moved to Washington, DC and have fallen in love with this amazing city and the beautiful Mid-Atlantic region. My family and I now live in Falls Church, Virginia.

Loves:  It’s truly the simple things in life that I love — my Saturday morning cup of coffee with my husband, snuggling in bed with my baby, a good bottle of red wine, a rainy afternoon, my friends and family.  My life is full and I feel so very blessed.

Favorite Part of Event Planning: I love watching the bride and groom smile at the end of the night, knowing I did everything in my power to make their wedding day seamless, stress free and the best day of their lives (so far). I love getting to know my clients and their families, and helping to execute their perfect day.  The logistics, the planning, working with vendors, the chaos (which, of course, I minimize), the music and dancing, making all the moving pieces fit and especially the cake. . .  I love it all.  I always feel so truly honored to be a part of my clients’ weddings.
